The Asian Film Summit started with a breakfast on the Outdoor Garden Terrace of the Shangri-La Hotel, Toronto.

In his opening remarks, Noah Weinzweig discussed his experiences on working on productions in Asia, including his on-the-ground work in China and other regions of Asia.

      Noah is a seasoned veteran of the Chinese film industry, and has secured his reputation as one of China's top producers, having spent almost twenty years in the mainland working across feature films, television commercials and high end documentary feature projects. He has worked on films such as Mission impossible 3, Manufactured Landscapes, Star Wars 3, and , as well as producing high end commercials in China and internationally for Nokia, Apple, BMW and Coca-Cola. Recent projects that Noah has been involved in includes Watermark, Iron Man 3, Thor 2 and Man of Thai Chi. Noah was awarded Emmy honors for his producing work on a segment of HBO's The Pacific.

      Since her appointment in March 2010, Carolle Brabant has distinguished herself through her leadership role in promoting Canadian talent and content in Canada and on the international scene. Within the framework of Telefilm Canada's 2011-2014 corporate plan, Fostering cultural success, she spearheaded the creation of a new measurement to determine the success of Canadian feature films - an index that takes into account their commercial, cultural and industrial achievements. A chartered accountant by training, Carolle Brabant joined Telefilm as an auditor in 1990. She was appointed director of finance and administration in 2003 and served as acting executive director for six months in 2004.

    • Based in Hong Kong, Liz Shackleton is Asia Editor for Screen International, over-seeing news and feature coverage in the Asia Pacific region. She is also editor of Screen International's dailies at the Dubai International Film Festival and Film Bazaar, organised by India¡¯s National Film Development Corporation.
