When a gay teenage girl is sent to live with her Jehovah's Witness relatives in smalltown Alberta, she finds herself drawn into a passionate secret romance with the daughter of the community's most prominent Elder.

Sarah Fobes
After getting her film studies degree at the University of Calgary, Sarah Fobes moved to Vancouver where she produced several short films, including the Slamdance official selection, Blank.
After moving to Montreal, Sarah co-founded Revel & Riot, an LGBTQ activist and apparel organization, products of which have been featured on HBO's GIRLS and the upcoming Spider-Man film.

Mark Slutsky
Mark Slutsky is a writer and filmmaker based in Montreal. Co-writer and co-producer of the multiple Canadian Comedy Award-nominated Peepers (EOne, 2009), he also co-wrote the feature documentary/two-part TV special The Fruit Hunters (NFB/Eyesteelfilm/CBC, 2013).
His short film Sorry, Rabbi, starring Jessica Paré and Jacob Tierney, premiered at TIFF 2011 and has played festivals around the world; his most recent short, The Decelerators, will play at the Telefilm Canada short film showcase at Cannes 2013, as well has having played fests in Canada, the U.S. and the U.K.
