Chris Marker's on-the-spot documentary of the 1967 March on the Pentagon is as wry and reflective as it is polemical.

TORONTO PREMIERE!

Its enigmatic title derived from a Zen proverb ("If the five sides of the pentagon appear impregnable, attack the sixth side"), The Sixth Side of the Pentagon records the March on the Pentagon on October 21, 1967, the largest protest gathering against the Vietnam War (also famously chronicled by Norman Mailer in The Armies of the Night). As wry and reflective as it is polemical, Marker's documentary offers a rare simultaneity of the personal and the political.
