Lindsay Lohan stars alongside porn star James Deen and director Gus Van Sant in this erotic neo-noir thriller scripted by notorious novelist Bret Easton Ellis (American Psycho) and directed by Paul Schrader (American Gigolo).

A postmodern L.A. noir about the dangers of ambition and sexual obsession, The Canyons brings together the year's richest and strangest crew of collaborators both in front of and behind the camera. Directed by lauded screenwriter and director Paul Schrader (Hardcore, American Gigolo, Mishima, Affliction) and scripted by notorious novelist Bret Easton Ellis (American Psycho, Less Than Zero, The Rules of Attraction), the film focuses on scheming movie producer Christian (porn star James Deen), whose girlfriend Tara (Lindsay Lohan) is hiding an affair she is having with an actor from her past. As Christian becomes more and more controlling and manipulative, inviting various sex partners to join him and Tara in his luxurious Malibu Canyon lair, a chance meeting sparks a flurry of paranoia, deceit, mind games and violence. All this and Gus Van Sant (playing Christian's psychotherapist) too, The Canyons is sure to be one of the most provocative and controversial films of the year.
