A beautiful young model (Margot Kidder) tries to conceal the bloody handiwork of her murderous twin in Brian De Palma's stylish Hitchcock homage.

After appearing on a TV game show, beautiful young French-Canadian model Danielle (Margot Kidder) takes a charming fellow contestant home for the night — which greatly angers her twin sister Dominique, who arrives that same night to celebrate their mutual birthday. The next morning, the young man ends up brutally murdered in Danielle's apartment — and the only witness to the grisly bloodbath, reporter Grace Collier (Jennifer Salt), can't get anyone to believe her after the corpus delicti disappears. The first of De Palma's virtuosic Hitchcock homages, Sisters also anticipates Cronenberg's body-horror oeuvre, as it follows Grace's gradual discovery of the details of Danielle and Dominique's disturbing past — which involve a mysterious clinic, a creepy surgeon (who also happens to be Danielle's ex-husband), and a gruesome biological secret.
