Author Jo Baker joins Eleanor Wachtel — host of TIFF's Books on Film and the CBC's Writers and Company — to discuss Joe Wright's film adaptation of the Jane Austen classic and her new novel Longbourn, a brilliantly imagined response to Pride and Prejudice told from the perspective of the Bennet household servants.

- Jo Baker was born in Lancashire and educated at Oxford University and Queen's University Belfast. She is the author the novels Offcomer, The Mermaid's Child, The Telling and The Undertow. Random House Studio and Focus Features have acquired film rights to Jo Baker's new novel Longbourn, a brilliantly imagined below-stairs answer to Pride and Prejudice. Baker lives in Lancaster, England with her husband and two children.
