    • Yann Martel
    • Yann Martel is the author of the Man Booker Prize-winning novel The Life of Pi. His other published works include The Facts Behind the Helsinki Roccamatios, Self, Beatrice and Virgil, and What Is Stephen Harper Reading?. Born in Spain to Quebecois parents, he spent his early years studying philosophy at Trent University, and later worked a variety of odd jobs and travelled widely before turning to writing. He currently lives in Saskatoon with writer Alice Kuipers and their son.
