Higher Learning is a free ongoing programme that provides Canadian post-secondary students and faculty a forum in which to examine film, television, video, new media and gaming from a wide range of cultural, social, historical, political and technological approaches and disciplines. The Higher Learning Digital Resource Hub complements our live events by providing satellite educational programming to academic communities and to the public at large, extending the Higher Learning experience beyond the walls of TIFF Bell Lightbox. The Digital Resources include:

Video footage of Higher Learning events, which users can stream through the Official TIFF YouTube channel.
Bibliographies of books and periodicals, compiled to give further context to the topics discussed.
Filmographies that include film, television and new media works compiled to complement subjects.
Additional materials such as websites, databases, and other online resources.

The Higher Learning staff curate the Digital Resource packages to complement and offer further context to the topics and themes discussed during the various Higher Learning events held at TIFF Bell Lightbox. These filmographies, bibliographies, and additional resources include works directly related to guest speakers' work and careers, and provide additional inspirations and topics to consider; these materials are meant to serve as a jumping-off point for further research. Please refer to the event video to see how topics and themes relate to the Higher Learning event.
Materials are generated from the resources of the Film Reference Library. All Digital Resources can be accessed by clicking Events.

Post-secondary students and faculty can join the Higher Learning listserv to learn more about our upcoming Higher Learning events at TIFF Bell Lightbox.
