Marietta von Hausswolff von Baumgarten is a story editor, script consultant and screenwriter connected to Binger Filmlab, TorinoFilmLab, Script Lab Moscow and various independent film companies as well as international institutes including the Swedish Film Institute, Balkan Film Fund, Talent Campus Sarajevo and Berlinale, Rutger Hauer Masterclass, Irish Film Board, Filmpool Nord, B3 U.K, Generation Campus Moscow, and Short Film Lab Moscow. She is the Head of MotherofSons (MOS), a development/film production company based in Stockholm, where she also works a screenwriter. She has worked in journalism, publishing, music, art and theatre, and eventually turned her sights to television drama, working as a writer, script editor and commissioning editor. She has consulted on such feature film titles as Hi-So, Le Quattro Volte, One Kine Day, Milo, The Slut, Beyond (Svinalängorna), Children of Sarajevo (Official Selection, Toronto International Film Festival 2012), and wrote and co-produced the FIPRESCI award-winning feature Call Girl. A member of the European Film Academy, Marietta has been involved with the European script development network since 1994 (including North by Northwest, Sources, Pilots, Arista, and more). She is a graduate of NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts and the New School, NYC, and completed her Cinema Studies degree in Stockholm.
