The film industry has experienced a significant change in the landscape of film sales, distribution and exhibition. Releasing strategies are done case by case and are constantly being tested. Online platforms are popping up around the world. More and more filmmakers and producers are considering hybrid or have DIY strategies to release their films. But how do you monetize on the new platforms? Are distribution and sales companies doomed? Are film festivals the only alternative to exhibiting and distributing art-house films?
